*INFORMATION.

Installation Difficulty: ★★★★☆ (Advanced)
If you are not comfortable dealing with hammering factory pressed hinge studs, we highly recommend having a professional off-road shop handle the installation.

*TOOLS REQUIRED.
1. 13mm wrench. 
2. 12mm wrench.
3. 10mm wrench or socket-ratchet.
4. (1/4 inch tool) bit driver.
5. 20mm socket (1/2" drive recomended.
6. hammer.
7. panel popper/clip remover or long skinny flathead screw driver 
8. 11/32 open end wrench or 10mm open end wrench
9. 14mm open end wrench
10. razor blade or something to cut thin plastic
11. (optional) prybar's 
12. (optional) large blanket (for resting the tailgate on)

CRITICAL WARNING: FACTORY HARDWARE REMOVAL The factory Toyota hinge bolts are pressed with high torque.

 

[*INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.]

N300 G.C.O. TG anchor system instructions.

   Precision Machined in Los Angeles, CA

 MAIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION

1. Remove tailgate (if equiped dont forget the wire harness) and rest on blanket

2. Remove the right passenger taillight (two 10mm bolts).(bed side, right).

3. Remove plastic cover under taillight 

4. Use 14mm open end wrench to remove both nuts securing the tailgate (hinge) and (damper mechanism,if equiped)

5. take hinge to a solid surface and place top stud head in a 20mm socket and screw the oem nut on the 
threads till both nut and bolt tip are flush and patiently repeatedly strike tip with a hammer to knock
the stud out and clean hole when done. OR use hydraulic press.

6. install hinge and damper mechanism with only the bottom nut. and lightly snug (do not tighten yet)

7. re install tailgate (now might be a good time to replace the bottom 12mm bolts with the hinge abandonment bolts on the tailgate)

8. Place G.C.O. billet anchor into the top hinge hole and insert the blind-bolt.

9. slide the provided washer on and hand thread nylock nut onto the blind bolt, then using the 11/32 or 10mm and hold the square under the bolt head (tip: pull away from
anchor face to not scratch it) now use a 13mm to drive the nut in (NOTE! you only need to drive it in till the lock hole on the tip is exposed) 
now attatch the lock to the tip and spin it counter clockwise while holding the nylock nut with a 13mm wrench the rest of the way. once 
lighty snug jossle hinge assembly to make sure everything seats well. now tighten both 14mm/bottom and 13mm/top nuts 

10. now remove lock and Thread the second nut tight against the first and re install the lock to the assembly.

11. trim the plastic cover where it touches the anchor to reinstall it 

12. reinstall the taillight using the provided bolts and washers

13. Finished.
